License agreement
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This agreement is between you and Rohit Saluja, who makes Wombit (the app). By installing or using the app, you agree to it. If you don't agree, don't install it; if you bought Pro, you can ask for a refund.
1. What you may do
- Use the free analyzer on any Mac you own or control, for personal or work use.
- Use Pro on up to 3 Macs at a time, once you've bought a license, for as long as you use the app, including future major versions.
- Make backup copies of the app for your own use.
2. What you may not do
- Share, sell or publish your license key, or get around the license check.
- Sell, rent or redistribute the app itself.
- Decompile or change the app, except where the law allows it or an open source license below says otherwise.
3. Open source parts
The scan engine, the rules catalog and the command-line tool are open source under the Apache License 2.0, and other parts of the app use open source libraries under their own licenses. Those licenses apply to those parts, and nothing here limits them.
4. What the app does to your files
The app moves the items you choose to the Trash, where you can put them back until you empty the Trash, and it keeps a log of every cleanup. Some tools clean with their own command, such as a package manager's cache command; what a command removes can't be put back, and the app says so before it runs one. Emptying the Trash is permanent and happens only when you ask for it.
The app never removes the places on its protected list, anything no rule explains, or anything you haven't reviewed. Even so, keep backups of your important files: no software can rule out every mistake.
5. No warranty
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty that it's free of errors or fit for a particular purpose. Some places don't allow this limit, so it may not apply to you.
6. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Rohit Saluja isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data, from using or not being able to use the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to what you paid for the app. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
7. Ending the agreement
You can end it at any time by deleting the app. It ends on its own if you break it, and then you must stop using the app. A refunded license ends Pro, and the free analyzer keeps working.
8. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
