Is it safe to delete Battle.net cache?

Temporary files that the Battle.net app keeps for Blizzard games.

Safe

Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.

/Users/Shared/Blizzard/Battle.net

What it is

The Battle.net desktop app keeps a cache folder in the Shared folder, which every user on the Mac can reach. Blizzard says removing it doesn't affect your game data, and it can hold outdated files that cause problems with some games. Battle.net creates the folder again when it needs it.

If it's removed

Battle.net recreates the folder the next time it opens. Your installed games and saves aren't affected.

How it's removed

Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it. Quit Battle.net first.

PRO

The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
