Is it safe to delete Gradle Daemon logs?
Log files written by the Gradle Daemon, the background process that runs your Gradle builds.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
- Files only
What it is
Gradle runs builds in a long-lived background process to make them faster, and each daemon writes a log file into a folder for its Gradle version. Gradle deletes these logs after 14 days on its own. They're only useful for investigating a build problem.
If it's removed
Logs of earlier builds are no longer available if you need to investigate a build problem.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
