Is it safe to delete Google Chrome cache?
Web pages, images and scripts that Chrome saved so websites load faster, with a folder for each Chrome profile.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
Chrome keeps its web cache and compiled script cache here, in a folder for each profile (Default, Profile 1 and so on), separate from your profile data in Application Support. Chrome downloads anything it needs again, so your bookmarks, passwords, history and open tabs aren't affected. Chrome Beta and Chrome Canary keep their own caches next to it.
If it's removed
Websites load more slowly the first time you visit them again, while the browser downloads their content again. You stay signed in to websites, and your bookmarks, history and passwords aren't affected.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it. Quit Google Chrome first.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
