Is it safe to delete Figma desktop app cache?
The Figma desktop app's local cache and app data.
Usually safe
It can be recreated, but it takes a download, a reinstall or the tool's own command.
~/
What it is
The Figma desktop app keeps cached content and local app data in this folder. Your design files are stored in Figma's cloud, not here. Figma recommends clearing it when the desktop app has performance or technical problems, and the app sets it up again when it opens.
If it's removed
Figma takes longer to open while it downloads its content again, and you might need to sign in again.
What to do instead
In Figma, click Help in the menu bar and choose Troubleshooting > Reset Figma and Restart.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it, with these steps. The app doesn't remove it for you.
