Is it safe to delete GPT4All models?

What it is
GPT4All saves each model you download from its Models page as a .gguf file in this folder, its default download path. Models are large files and stay until you remove them. Only the model files are counted here, not the rest of GPT4All's data.
If it's removed
A removed model can be downloaded again from GPT4All's Models page.
What to do instead
In GPT4All, click Models in the sidebar, then click Remove next to a model you no longer need.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it, with these steps. The app doesn't remove it for you.
