Is it safe to delete Simulator caches?
Cached data that the simulator service keeps for your user account.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
CoreSimulator, the service behind Simulator and the simulators in Xcode, keeps cached data here. It can include prebuilt copies of the system libraries each simulator runtime uses, which can take several gigabytes. The service creates what it needs again the next time you use a simulator.
If it's removed
The next simulator you start may take longer to boot while the cache is rebuilt.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it. Quit Simulator first.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
