Is it safe to delete Claude caches?
Web, code and graphics caches that the Claude desktop app keeps in its data folder.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.

What it is
The Claude app is built on Electron, which keeps a web cache, compiled code caches and graphics shader caches next to the app's settings, with separate ones for built-in previews. Claude rebuilds them as it runs. Your settings, sign-in and Cowork data live in other files and aren't included.
If it's removed
Claude starts a little slower the first time afterward while it rebuilds its caches. You stay signed in.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it. Quit Claude first.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
