Is it safe to delete Cursor caches and logs?

Web, code and graphics caches, downloaded extension packages and session logs that Cursor keeps in its data folder.

Safe

Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.

~/Library/Application Support/Cursor/{Cache,CachedData,CachedExtensionVSIXs,Code Cache,DawnGraphiteCache,DawnWebGPUCache,GPUCache,logs}

What it is

Cursor is built on VS Code, so it keeps the same caches next to your settings: a web cache, compiled code caches, graphics shader caches, copies of extension packages it downloaded, and a folder of logs for each recent session. Cursor rebuilds them as it runs. Your settings, extensions, chat history and workspace data live in other folders and aren't included.

If it's removed

Cursor starts a little slower the first time afterward while it rebuilds its caches. Logs from earlier sessions are gone.

How it's removed

Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it. Quit Cursor first.

PRO

The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
