Is it safe to delete Apache Ivy cache?
Libraries that Apache Ivy has downloaded for Java and Scala builds, such as Ant builds and builds made with older versions of sbt.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
Ivy stores the modules it downloads from repositories here, along with data from earlier dependency resolutions, so builds don't have to download them again. It downloads anything that's missing on the next build. Artifacts you published locally are kept in a separate folder, which isn't part of this cache.
If it's removed
The next build of each project that uses Ivy downloads its dependencies again, which takes time and a network connection.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
