Is it safe to delete Playwright folder?
Playwright's folder for the browsers it tests with, the profiles its MCP server uses, and its record of which projects use each browser.

It can be recreated, but it takes a download, a reinstall or the tool's own command.

What it is
Playwright keeps the browsers it downloads here, along with the browser profiles its MCP server uses for AI tools and a record of which projects use each browser version. The browsers and the profiles are also listed on their own, so you can remove them separately. Removing the whole folder removes the record too, and the next install can then remove browsers other projects still use.
If it's removed
Tests and tools that use Playwright can't start a browser until it's installed again, and the browser AI tools control is signed out of every website.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It's never checked for you: it waits for your choice.
