Is it safe to delete Puppeteer browsers?

Chrome builds that Puppeteer downloads for the projects that use it, shared between projects.

Usually safe

It can be recreated, but it takes a download, a reinstall or the tool's own command.

~/.cache/puppeteer

What it is

Since version 19, Puppeteer downloads the browsers it controls into this shared folder when you install it in a project, so projects can reuse them. If the folder is removed, scripts that use Puppeteer can't start a browser until it's installed again, for example when the project's dependencies are installed.

If it's removed

Scripts and tests that use Puppeteer can't start a browser until it's downloaded again, which happens when you reinstall the project's dependencies.

How it's removed

Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.

PRO

The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It's never checked for you: it waits for your choice.
