Is it safe to delete Coursier cache?
Libraries that Coursier downloads for Scala and Java builds, including builds made with sbt.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
Coursier fetches dependencies from Maven and Ivy repositories and keeps them here, organized by the address they came from, so projects can share them. sbt uses Coursier to download libraries. Anything missing is downloaded again on the next build. Java versions that Coursier installs are kept in a separate folder and aren't part of this cache.
If it's removed
The next build of each project downloads its libraries again, which takes time and a network connection.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
