Is it safe to delete Coursier cache folder?
Coursier's folder for downloaded libraries and for the Java versions it installs.
Usually safe
It can be recreated, but it takes a download, a reinstall or the tool's own command.
~/
What it is
Coursier keeps the libraries it downloads for Scala and Java builds here, along with the Java versions it installs and other downloaded archives. The downloaded libraries and the Java versions are also listed on their own, so you can remove them separately. Removing the whole folder removes the installed Java versions too.
If it's removed
The next builds download their libraries again, and tools set to use a Java version Coursier installed stop working until it's installed again.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It's never checked for you: it waits for your choice.
