Is it safe to delete Pub cache?
Dart and Flutter packages that pub has downloaded for your projects, plus command-line tools you activated globally.
Usually safe
It can be recreated, but it takes a download, a reinstall or the tool's own command.
~/
What it is
When you get a project's dependencies, pub, the Dart and Flutter package manager, downloads each package version into this system cache so every project can reuse it. The folder also holds tools you installed with pub's global activate option. Packages are downloaded again when a project needs them, but globally activated tools have to be activated again.
If it's removed
Each project downloads its packages again the next time you get its dependencies or run it. Tools you activated globally stop working until you activate them again.
How it's removed
Dart's own cleanup command (dart pub cache clean --force), run by the app.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It's never checked for you: it waits for your choice.
