Is it safe to delete Deno module cache?
Modules and npm packages Deno downloaded, and the JavaScript it compiled from them.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
Deno saves the modules your programs import from the web and from npm in these folders, along with the JavaScript it compiles from TypeScript and information for its language server. Older versions of Deno use a folder named deps for web modules. Deno reuses them to start programs without downloading or compiling again, and recreates them when a program needs them.
If it's removed
The next time you run a program, Deno downloads its modules again and compiles them, which takes longer and needs an internet connection.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
