Is it safe to delete Google Drive app data (DriveFS)?
Google Drive for desktop's account databases, logs and local cache, including changes that haven't finished uploading.
Review first
It's your own data, or hard to recreate. Decide item by item.
~/
What it is
Google Drive for desktop keeps a folder for each signed-in account here, with its file database, logs and cached content. Changes that haven't been uploaded yet wait in the local cache, and Google notes they can be lost if the cache is cleared. Google Drive manages this folder itself.
If it's removed
Removing this folder while changes are waiting to upload loses those changes, and Google Drive has to set up each account again. Disconnecting an account removes its offline files.
What to do instead
Google Drive manages this folder. To use less space, turn off Available offline for folders you don't need, or disconnect accounts you no longer use in Google Drive's settings once their uploads have finished.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. The app never removes it.
