Is it safe to delete OneDrive folder?
Your OneDrive folders, with the OneDrive files that are downloaded to this Mac.
Usually safe
It can be recreated, but it takes a download, a reinstall or the tool's own command.
~/
What it is
OneDrive keeps a folder here for each account, such as OneDrive-Personal or one named after your organization, and shows it under Locations in Finder. Files you've opened or set to always keep on this device take up space; online-only files don't. Deleting a file here deletes it from OneDrive too, so make files online-only instead.
If it's removed
Online-only files download again when you open them, which needs an internet connection. They stay in OneDrive.
What to do instead
In Finder, open OneDrive, Control-click files or folders you don't need on this Mac, and choose Free up space.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it, with these steps. The app doesn't remove it for you.
