Is it safe to delete Gradle Wrapper distributions?
Copies of Gradle that the Gradle Wrapper downloads, one for each Gradle version your projects use.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
Projects that use the Gradle Wrapper name the Gradle version they need, and the wrapper downloads that version into this folder the first time it runs. The wrapper downloads a version again when a project needs it and it's missing. Gradle also deletes versions no project has used for 30 days on its own.
If it's removed
The next build of each project downloads its Gradle version again, which takes time and a network connection.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
