Is it safe to delete Node.js versions installed with nvm?
A version of Node.js installed with nvm, along with the global npm packages installed for it.
Review first
It's your own data, or hard to recreate. Decide item by item.
~/
What it is
nvm installs each Node.js version in its own folder here. Packages you install globally with npm while using that version are stored inside it too. Old versions stay after you move to newer ones, and projects that ask for a particular version, for example in an .nvmrc file, need it installed.
If it's removed
That Node.js version and its global packages are no longer available. If it's nvm's default version, node isn't available in new Terminal windows until another default is chosen.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It's never checked for you: it waits for your choice.
