Is it safe to delete npx cache?
Packages npx downloaded to run commands that aren't installed in a project.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
When you run a command with npx (or npm exec) and its package isn't part of the current project, npm installs the package into a folder here and runs it from there. Each package or set of packages gets its own folder, and npm keeps them so the next run starts faster. Project generators and other tools that are run this way build up here over time.
If it's removed
The next time you run one of these commands, npx downloads its package again. A tool that is running from this folder when it's removed can stop working until it's started again.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
