Is it safe to delete pnpm cache?
Package information and pnpm dlx downloads that pnpm keeps to make installs faster.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
pnpm stores information about packages from the registry here, along with the packages it downloads to run commands with pnpm dlx and some results it uses to check installs. It's separate from the pnpm store, which holds the packages your projects use. pnpm downloads anything it needs again.
If it's removed
The next installs and pnpm dlx commands take a little longer while pnpm downloads package information and packages again.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
