Is it safe to delete pnpm store?
The shared store where pnpm keeps one copy of every package version your projects use.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
pnpm saves each package version once in this store and links it into the node_modules folder of every project that needs it, so the same files aren't stored twice. Much of the space shown here is shared with those projects, so it's freed only when no project uses a package anymore. pnpm's own cleanup removes just the packages that no project on your Mac references.
If it's removed
Packages no project uses anymore are removed, and your projects keep working. If a project needs a removed package later, pnpm downloads it again during the next install.
How it's removed
pnpm's own cleanup command (pnpm store prune), run by the app. It removes only what nothing uses, so it frees less than the full size.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop. Its size counts as “up to”, because the command removes only what nothing uses.
