Is it safe to delete Yarn cache?
Packages downloaded by Yarn 1 (Yarn Classic), kept so installs don't download them again.
Safe
Its owner recreates it by itself when it needs it, and nothing you made is lost.
~/
What it is
Yarn Classic keeps a copy of every package it installs in this folder and reuses it for later installs in any project. Package versions your projects no longer use stay here until the cache is cleared. Yarn fills it again the next time you install dependencies, and projects that are already installed don't use it.
If it's removed
The next installs download packages again, so they take longer and need an internet connection. Projects that are already installed keep working.
How it's removed
Moved to the Trash, where you can restore it.
The free analyzer finds it and explains it. Removing it is Pro, after a review sheet that lists every move and command. It starts checked in the Cleanup checklist, except inside Documents or Desktop.
